A Little History
Wm Rogers is one of the familiar names associated with American silverplate flatware, particularly during the late 19th and 20th centuries.
The EXTRA PLATE marking refers to a silverplated product rather than solid sterling silver, while ORIGINAL ROGERS is part of the manufacturer’s branding.
Decorative pie and cake servers became established pieces of American tableware, with manufacturers offering a wide variety of floral patterns, shaped handles, and pierced serving blades.
This example retains the charming floral ornamentation and traditional craftsmanship associated with vintage silverplate serving utensils.
