Wonderful vintage Wedgwood blue jasperware spade-shaped trinket box, an unusual form featuring Wedgwood’s classic matte blue ground with applied white relief decoration.
The fitted lid features a Pegasus winged horse motif surrounded by an elegant foliate wreath. Additional white floral and foliate reliefs decorate the sides, including a tiny flower at the tip of the spade.
The playing-card spade shape makes this a particularly fun Wedgwood collectible—perfect for a card player, Wedgwood collector or anyone who loves unusual jasperware forms.
