Beautiful vintage Trachten-style choker necklace, featuring 12 strands of silvertone rolo-style chain gathered into an elaborate central decorative clasp or plaque.
The centerpiece has an ornate filigree design surrounded by a brass-tone frame and is accented with faceted rhinestones in rich jewel tones of blue, red, green and clear. The combination of multiple chains and elaborate metalwork gives it the distinctive appearance associated with traditional German/Austrian Alpine Trachten jewelry.
The reverse bears a small maker’s or workshop mark; however, we have been unable to identify the maker, so it is being sold as maker unknown. Metal content is also unknown and is not represented as precious metal.
