An exceptional vintage Theodor Fahrner sterling silver bracelet, marked 925 and bearing the TF maker’s mark. Theodor Fahrner of Pforzheim, Germany is highly regarded by collectors for distinctive jewelry combining exceptional metalwork with strong, sophisticated design.

This substantial bracelet is composed of beautifully articulated panels covered in incredibly fine, intricate textured decoration. Each panel is accented with an applied raised scrolling motif, while tiny silver bead details along the edges emphasize the architectural construction.

The articulated design allows the individual panels to move comfortably around the wrist while maintaining the bracelet’s impressive wide silhouette. It closes with an integrated box-style clasp.

At approximately 44.5 grams, this is a substantial piece of collectible European silver jewelry.

Measurements:

Approximately 7” long

Approximately 3/4” wide

Approximately 44.5 grams

Marked 925

Signed TF / Theodor Fahrner

Condition:
Good vintage condition with surface wear, patina, oxidation and signs of previous wear consistent with age. The reverse shows scratching and wear, particularly around the clasp area, as photographed. The detailed decoration remains beautifully defined. Please examine all photographs closely as they are an important part of the condition description.

Styling:
A bracelet that bridges antique craftsmanship and modernist design beautifully. Its wide articulated construction makes it substantial enough to wear alone, while the extraordinarily detailed silverwork rewards a closer look. A particularly appealing piece for collectors of Theodor Fahrner, German silver jewelry, and distinctive European artisan jewelry.

A Bit of History on Theodor Fahrner (Why This Matters for Value) as pieces of this designer can be found from about $500 to even $1400!

Theodor Fahrner was a German jewelry manufacturer based in Pforzheim, Germany, a city long known as the “Gold City” and the heart of German jewelry production.

The original company was founded in the late 19th century (1855), but it became truly influential in the early 20th century under the direction of designers like Max J. Gradl and Ludwig Knupper, who helped define the brand’s signature aesthetic.

Fahrner jewelry is especially important because it represents a shift in European design:

It moved away from heavy Victorian ornamentation

Embraced Art Nouveau and later early Art Deco modernism

Focused on silver as a design medium rather than just a base metal

Often used intricate hand-texturing, stylized natural forms, and architectural symmetry

By the 1920s–1930s, Fahrner pieces were widely exported and became known for being high-design silver jewelry that was more accessible than gold couture pieces, which is part of why they are so collectible today.

The “TF” mark became a recognized signature of quality German design, and even after Theodor Fahrner’s death, the brand continued under licensed production until the mid-20th century.
