Impressive vintage Taxco, Mexico sterling silver pendant featuring a bold geometric design with openwork construction and contrasting smooth and deeply textured surfaces.
The pendant has a distinctly sculptural appearance, incorporating curved architectural forms, stepped geometric motifs and darkened recessed detailing. The oversized articulated bail continues the textured design.
A particularly substantial piece, weighing approximately 50.7 grams.
The reverse is marked 925, TAX MEX and TK-26. The maker associated with the TK-26 registration mark has not been identified, so no specific silversmith attribution is being made.
