Beautiful vintage handcrafted silver and turquoise pendant, featuring a large vivid blue turquoise cabochon surrounded by substantial hand-worked silver.
The teardrop-shaped pendant has an oxidized recessed center that beautifully emphasizes the turquoise, framed by scalloped silverwork with repeated hand-stamped detailing. Small applied silver accents complete the design, giving the piece wonderful depth and character.
The reverse is signed “Ashley” in script. The piece is not purity marked but has been tested as silver.
I would not attribute this to a specific Ashley silversmith without further evidence. There are multiple documented Navajo artists with the Ashley surname, and their known signatures vary. I did find another vintage turquoise pendant currently marketed simply as “Signed Ashley,” so keeping the attribution conservative is appropriate.

Condition
Good vintage condition with surface scratches, patina and age-related wear consistent with previous use. The turquoise shows natural color and matrix variation. Please examine photographs closely as they form an important part of the description.
Styling
This is a terrific statement pendant—the large turquoise stone and substantial silver setting would look especially striking on a sterling chain, leather cord or silver bead necklace.
