A wonderful vintage equestrian brooch designed in the form of a traditional riding crop, centered with a beautifully detailed horse-head portrait.
The tiny horse portrait appears reverse painted beneath a clear domed cover, giving the image wonderful depth and dimension. The horse is shown in profile wearing its bridle against a pale background—a fabulous little detail that immediately gives this piece its sporting character.
The goldtone riding crop itself has lovely textural detailing, including a looped handle and decorative accents along the shaft. An unusual piece of vintage horse jewelry and a particularly charming find for an equestrian, rider or collector of antique and vintage sporting jewelry.
