A fabulous vintage David-Andersen Norwegian sterling silver statement ring, featuring a bold ancient-inspired design with three raised sculptural bars set against a deeply textured and oxidized background. Rope-like borders and small raised details complete the distinctive archaeological look.
The interior of the ring carries all of the hallmarks and inscriptions, including D-A DAVID-ANDERSEN, NORWAY, STERLING, 925S and COPY ORIGINAL YEAR 300. This inscription indicates that David-Andersen based the design on an ancient original dating to approximately 300 AD—the ring itself is a later vintage reproduction.
The open-back construction allows some adjustment in size.

Condition
Good vintage condition with surface scratches, wear and natural oxidation/patina consistent with age and previous use. The darker oxidation within the recessed decoration adds wonderful definition to the design. Please review photographs carefully for condition.
