Description
Absolutely spectacular vintage Czechoslovakian crystal necklace, featuring an oversized stylized leaf pendant completely encrusted with brilliant clear faceted glass stones.
The pendant is constructed in a warm goldtone metal with an elegant sweeping central stem. The open-backed settings allow light to enter the stones, creating exceptional sparkle and dimension. The stones vary in size and shape, giving the leaf a wonderfully organic, almost cascading appearance.
The necklace is signed CZECHOSLOVAKIA on the clasp. Based on the construction, open-backed stones, clasp and overall design, I would describe this as early-to-mid 20th century Czech costume jewelry, rather than assigning a narrower date without further documentation.
