Beautiful vintage Crown Trifari brooch featuring a bold sculptural design with sweeping curved forms layered across a large open oval. The oval frame has a richly textured finish bordered by smooth polished goldtone, creating a striking contrast of texture, dimension and shine.
The central design resembles overlapping leaves, feathers or flames, with elongated polished elements that rise dramatically across the open center. The dimensional construction gives this brooch wonderful movement and makes it especially striking when worn on a jacket, coat, dress or scarf.
The reverse bears the Crown Trifari signature, with the distinctive crown positioned over the T in TRIFARI, along with the copyright symbol. Crown Trifari jewelry is particularly sought after by collectors and represents one of the most recognizable names in 20th-century American costume jewelry.
