Beautiful vintage Chinese cinnabar-style brooch featuring an intricately carved oval panel depicting two birds surrounded by flowers, leaves and foliage. The rich red carving has wonderful dimensional relief, with finely incised details bringing the feathers, petals and leaves to life.
The oval panel is framed in an ornate Silvertone metal setting with twisted-rope and floral detailing, giving the piece an especially decorative Asian-inspired appearance. The reverse is stamped MADE IN CHINA.
