An exceptional vintage tested silver card case featuring exquisite hand-crafted silver wirework, a rich gold wash, and striking cobalt blue enamel accents. Cannetille is a highly skilled decorative metalworking technique in which delicate coils and scrolls of fine silver wire are meticulously formed into intricate openwork designs, creating a beautifully light and elegant appearance.
This piece bears a hallmark that is present but too worn to identify with certainty. The silver has been acid tested and confirmed as silver.
Originally designed as a (“cigarette”) case, today it also makes an elegant business card holder, calling card case, keepsake case, or display piece for a collector of fine vintage silver.

Condition
In good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear from handling on the outside. Some minor wear on the inside.
The clasp opens and closes securely, and both original interior elastic bands remain intact. The blue enamel is beautifully preserved, and there is light wear to the gold wash and other surfaces consistent with careful vintage use. Please review all photographs as they are part of the description.
