Beautiful vintage Toledo damascene earrings featuring detailed bird motifs surrounded by scrolling botanical designs. The rich blackened background provides striking contrast to the yellow and green gold decoration, creating the distinctive look of traditional Spanish damascene work.
The original certification label states that these earrings were made in Toledo, Spain, using 24K yellow gold and 18K green gold, with a minimum inlaid thickness of 4 microns. A wonderful example of traditional damasquinado craftsmanship.
Oval design with textured goldtone borders and post backs. The earrings retain their original presentation card and certification label.
