Description
Gorgeous vintage Sterling 950 silver vanity set consisting of a matching compact mirror and miniature perfume bottle, both beautifully covered in exceptionally detailed floral and scrolling foliate engraving.
The octagonal compact has a blank central cartouche with no monogram and opens to reveal the mirror, powder compartment and pink powder puff. The matching perfume bottle repeats the same elaborate engraved design and retains its removable pointed stopper with applicator wand.
Most importantly, both pieces are clearly marked “STERLING 950,” confirming the unusually high 950/1000 silver fineness. This is higher in silver content than standard .925 sterling and is an excellent feature for collectors of vintage silver vanity accessories.
