A fantastic piece of WWII-era Australian coin jewelry, this vintage bracelet is constructed from genuine Australian pre-decimal silver coins dating to 1942 and 1943.

The bracelet features a graduated combination of Australian shilling, sixpence and threepence coins, individually pierced and joined by decorative shield-shaped sterling silver links. The coins feature King George VI portraits on the obverse with classic Australian designs on the reverse, including the Australian coat of arms.

Australian shillings, sixpences and threepences of this period were struck in .925 sterling silver, and the decorative connecting links have also been tested as sterling silver.

The different coin sizes give the bracelet a wonderfully collected, almost souvenir-jewelry character while the 1942 and 1943 dates place it directly within the World War II era. A fabulous piece of wearable history for a collector of antique and vintage silver, Australian coins, militaria-era jewelry or unusual sterling bracelets.
