A remarkable Russian Imperial silver case crafted in 84 zolotnik fine silver (.875 silver) and bearing Moscow assay marks dated 1873 under assay master Viktor Vasilyevich Savinsky (В.С.).

This substantial case features beautifully hand-engraved hunting scenes on both sides. One panel depicts a stag pursued with a hound, while the has a place for a monogram. The detailed engraving is framed by elegant geometric borders appearing to be belts and intricate engine-turned decoration, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of late Imperial Russia.

Larger than most traditional vesta cases, this versatile piece could have held oversized matches, ((cigarettes)), calling cards, or other personal effects.
