A beautifully romantic antique necklace featuring rich cobalt blue oval cabochon stones alternating with intricate silvertone floral filigree links. The delicate openwork scroll designs, dimensional floral centers, and decorative rope-style bezels create an elegant, old-world appearance.
The vivid blue stones display natural-looking variations in color, with lighter blue and subtle golden flecks visible in several cabochons. They resemble lapis lazuli, although the gemstone material has not been professionally identified and is therefore described as blue stone.
The necklace features a series of individually connected floral filigree and oval stone links, creating a graceful, articulated design.
A newer silvertone extension chain and lobster clasp have been added to bring the necklace to a wearable 19” length while preserving the character of the original decorative links.
