Antique Art Nouveau Gilt Brass Openwork Floral Brooch c.1900
Description:
A striking antique Art Nouveau brooch, dating to circa 1895–1910, featuring a flowing foliate design in classic openwork form. Crafted in gilt brass with a soft gold finish, the brooch displays the organic, swirling lines that defined the Art Nouveau movement. The botanical motif, with curling leaves and bead-like detailing, evokes the elegance of nature so celebrated at the turn of the century.
The reverse retains its original C-clasp pin with a long pin stem, typical of late Victorian and Edwardian era construction. At approximately 2” x 1.5”, this piece is generously sized and makes a beautiful statement when worn on a lapel, at the neckline, or to fasten a shawl.
In very good antique condition with gentle wear to the gilding, consistent with age and use, which only adds to its authenticity and charm.
