Collectors note Warner is prized for quality construction and dense pavé sparkle

History of maker

Warner (New York, 1950s–early 1970s)

Founded by Joseph Warner, the firm produced high-quality American costume jewelry noted for dense pavé work, layered construction, and excellent rhodium or japanned plating. Pieces are almost always signed “WARNER” (often in an oval cartouche). Warner favored premium Austrian rhinestones—clear, aurora borealis, and the brand’s coveted smoky “black-diamond” palette—plus domed clusters, florals, starbursts, and holiday pins (their Christmas trees are especially collected). Production was relatively limited compared with bigger houses, so intact examples with original stones and bright plating remain desirable with vintage jewelry collectors today.
