Rare 1955 Soviet Armenian Silver Vodka Cup Set – AA9 Hallmarked

Up for sale is a rare set of five Soviet Armenian vodka cups, each crafted in solid 875 silver with original gilt-washed interiors. All cups are engraved with the Yerevan Opera Theatre, one of Armenia’s most iconic landmarks, with the inscription Երևան (Yerevan) beneath.

The reverse sides bear hand-engraved Armenian dedications, given by the Architecture Institute of Yerevan in 1955 as graduation gifts. These personal inscriptions firmly anchor the cups in time and place, making this set not only valuable as silver but also as an important piece of Armenian cultural and Soviet academic history.
