The interior rim is richly detailed, and the handles are fully gilded in traditional Lomonosov fashion.
The base bears the red LFZ “ЛФЗ” mark used after 1992, reading “Made in Russia”, with additional handwritten Cyrillic inscriptions identifying the artist and painter’s studio.
Measurements:
Cup – 2.75” diameter, 2.5” high
Saucer – 5” diameter
Condition: Excellent, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Minimal surface wear to the gilding, commensurate with gentle display use only.
About Lomonosov: Founded in 1744 by order of Empress Elizabeth of Russia, the Lomonosov Imperial Porcelain Factory became world-renowned for its artistry and quality, supplying the Imperial Court for over two centuries. Post-Soviet pieces such as this continue the grand tradition of hand painting with a focus on opulent color and gold work.
Collectors Note: This mid-size cup and saucer pair represents the finest of modern Lomonosov craftsmanship—hand painted, signed, and richly decorated. A timeless addition to any fine porcelain collection or luxurious tea service display.
