An impressive large antique silverplate poultry/meat dome, measuring 18” long x 14” wide x 14” high. This generously sized dome would have been the centerpiece of a grand dining table, designed to cover roasted poultry, game, or large cuts of meat while keeping them warm.
The dome features an ornate removable handle, making it both functional and easier to polish or store. A monogram adds a touch of history and personalization, a reminder of its original distinguished household.
Condition: Good antique condition with some age-appropriate surface wear and minor dings, expected from use. The silverplate retains a handsome patina, and the dome remains sturdy and highly presentable.
Has removable handle. Plating loss not apparent. As these are like mirrors when photographing it is extremely difficult to shoe the real piece. Extremely shiny and yes very impressive.
Monogram inside the wreath appears to be a C.
