This beautiful Art Deco Czech glass dress clip dates to the 1920s–1930s and captures the glamour of the era. It features a large deep red faceted glass stone at the center, surrounded by two rows of smaller red glass stones, all set in a gilt brass frame. The piece was designed to imitate the rich look of Bohemian garnets, a style highly fashionable during the Art Deco period.
The back is stamped Czechoslovakia, confirming its early 20th-century origin. Dress clips like this were versatile accessories, worn on dresses, coats, collars, and even hats to add sparkle and sophistication.
The clip measures approximately 45mm x 34mm (1.77” x 1.34”). The mechanism is intact and functional.
Condition is good, with light age-related and some flaws as well as wear that is consistent with its nearly 100-year history.
A stunning collectible example of Czech Art Deco costume jewelry, perfect for both wear and display.
