A beautiful antique English silverplate serving set including a large engraved pastry server and matching serving fork. This elegant two-piece set features richly decorated handles with beaded borders and ornate floral motifs, giving it a refined late Victorian look that complements both traditional and heirloom table settings.
The server features an engraved blade with decorative bright-cut style design, while the matching fork has four tines with coordinating ornamentation near the shoulder. Together they create a lovely presentation set ideal for pastries, cakes, desserts, or tea sandwiches.
A worn English Registration Diamond (kite mark) is visible near the ferrule. These marks were used by the British Patent Office to register decorative designs during the Victorian era, helping identify the period when a design was officially recorded. Although the mark is worn and difficult to fully decode, its presence supports a late Victorian date, circa 1880–1890.
Pieces like this were commonly produced by high-quality English silverplate manufacturers during the late 19th century for elegant tea and dessert service.
