An elegant antique mirror plateau, measuring 12” in diameter and 1” high. The beveled circular mirror rests atop an ornate silverplate base decorated with raised floral and scroll motifs, supported by small feet.
Plateaus such as this were traditionally used in the 19th and early 20th century to display centerpieces, candelabra, or wedding cakes, reflecting light and adding depth to the table. They remain highly collectible today for their timeless beauty and versatility.
Condition: In good antique condition with expected age-related wear. The mirror surface shows some faint scratches and spotting, while the silverplate frame has areas of patina and wear, enhancing its antique character. Has some mirror loss on edge as shown in photo. Sturdy and display-ready.
