Description:

Antique Meriden Silver Plate Co. Silver Soldered covered vegetable or entrée dish, circa 1900–1915. This substantial serving piece features a domed lid with reeded lobes, ornate Rococo Revival floral and shell border, and an elegant decorative finial handle. The construction is heavy, made to last, and ideal for fine hotel and restaurant service of the early 20th century.

The underside is stamped with the Meriden eagle hallmark, pattern number 0760, “SILVER SOLDERED,” and “10 IN.” Silver soldering was a higher-grade method of plating used for institutional and luxury service ware, ensuring superior durability compared to standard silver plate.

• Diameter: approx. 10”

• Height (with lid/finial): approx. 7”

Condition:

Very good antique condition. Light surface scratches and age-related wear consistent with careful use. Silver finish remains bright and reflective. No dents; lid and finial secure. Displays beautifully and ready for use.
