This authentic French Art Deco evening bag is a stunning example of 1920s craftsmanship, featuring a richly woven geometric textile in shades of gold, coral, and olive, beautifully accented with metallic sequins and clear glass seed beads arranged in elegant scrollwork patterns.
It closes with a gilt metal frame and ball clasp, suspended from a fine antique brass chain handle. Inside, a softly worn ivory satin lining retains its original “Made in France” tag. Measuring approximately 7 inches wide by 5.25 inches high, it’s a petite treasure that perfectly embodies Jazz Age elegance.
Condition:
Some beading loss along the top edge and scattered areas, as shown. Light oxidation and patina to the metal frame and chain, and gentle wear to the lining — all consistent with age and use. Displays beautifully overall with wonderful vintage character.
