From a cherished lifelong collection, this set of four antique carnival glass tumblers is a joy to offer. Each is made from rich cobalt glass with that magical oil-slick iridescence collectors love, and all are decorated in the iconic “Peacock at the Fountain” pattern attributed to Dugan: an elegant peacock beside a classical fountain and urn, framed by lush garden motifs and beaded borders.
From our research and to the very best of our knowledge, these are “Peacock at the Fountain” carnival flat tumblers, produced in the early 1900s. Attribution is based on pattern, color and respected collector references; we are not professional appraisers and share this information to the best of our knowledge only.
Three tumblers show predominantly plum-purple iridescence on the exterior, while one has a striking blue-green / teal cast. This kind of variation in hand-applied iridescent finish is completely normal in true antique carnival glass and is part of the charm of original sets. They still display beautifully together, as you can see in the photos.
Measurements

As with most antique glass, the tiniest natural variations in height and finish are normal and expected.
Condition
Beautiful antique condition with age-appropriate signs of time, handling and previous enjoyment. Interiors show attractive carnival iridescence with rings of color in the base, and the exteriors have lovely color play and good pattern detail. No cracks noted. Any tiny bubbles, mold seams or production quirks are original to manufacture and typical of early 20th-century glassmaking.

Styling
Perfect for an Old Money inspired bar cart, a library or study bar, or moody Victorian and Gothic interiors.
