The underside bears the Forbes Silver Co. eagle trademark with QUADRUPLE and pattern number 462. Forbes Silver Company was established in 1894 and later became part of International Silver, placing this piece around the turn of the 20th century.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOriginally displayed on the Victorian dining table, pickle castors were used to elegantly serve pickles, olives, gherkins, or other relishes while allowing the glass insert to be lifted from its decorative frame.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eCondition\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn good antique condition with age-appropriate wear to the silverplate.
